Peter Bendheim


Mr. Bendheim, born and raised in South Africa, has a broad range of global business experience in commercial construction, commodities, business financing, project financing, and joint ventures.  Mr. Bendheim has facilitated major business ventures internationally including projects in the US, Europe, and Russia. 

Mr. Bendheim has recently worked with private companies and government organizations in Africa to broker commodity trades and infrastructure development projects.  His efforts included establishing Joint Venture agreements, structuring project financing, and business planning for large-scale infrastructure projects.

Mr. Bendheim was a partner in Center of the Credit and Investment Cooperation Ltd, a Russian corporation, and a mandate for Russian product and projects sponsored by the Russian government and private firms.

Mr. Flannery has a broad range of experience leading information technology, medical, financing, and international infrastructure projects and companies.  He is experienced with representing international finance organizations, foreign governments, and private companies to secure finance structures for projects in the USA, Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America. 

Mr. Flannery has held several executive-level positions in private and public companies including CEO, President, Chief Strategist. He is a former Vice President for General Dynamics, a Fortune 100 company, where he led the strategic planning, business development, and business operations for a $100m, 500+ employees business unit providing advanced information technology engagements for commercial and government clients. 

Mr. Flannery founded and was President/CEO of Creative Technology Incorporated. The company deployed innovative technology and specialized security solutions worldwide.  As President/CEO, he ensured financial performance, directed long-range strategic planning, established business objectives, and stimulated organizational development.  As a result of Mr. Flannery’s leadership, Creative Technology grew from a business start-up to a $60m, 300+ employee company in less than ten years.

James Flannery

Mr. Jonathan Strum has a wide array of experience on both the business and legal aspects of investment and technology.   He has negotiated and structured investment and financing from international institutions, venture capital firms and SBIC’s on behalf of start-up technology companies, established companies, foreign governments and business entities,  He has coordinated multilateral project finance while advising on the establishment of and financing for overseas projects in the US, Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

Mr. Strum is experienced in Islamic finance, asset-backed securitization, foreign sovereign debt, and general international finance activities, having handled negotiations with major securities firms, venture capital firms, offshore banks, foreign financial institutions and governments. 

Mr. Strum has been a frequent commentator and analyst on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, and C-SPAN with regard to the Middle East and international issues and is a frequent speaker at international conferences. 

Mr. Hickerson traveled to over 40 different countries while earning his MBA, with a concentration in International Finance, from The Citadel.  He studied at The University of Innsbruck in Austria, The University of Bangkok in Thailand and Nene University in England.  While abroad, he worked with Merrill Lynch International London in the Wealth Protection department. 

Mr. Hickerson was founder and President of 1st Capital Mortgage, Inc, a residential mortgage originations provider.   Under his leadership, 1st Capital Mortgage expanded to include 1st Capital Financial, 1st Capital Investments, 1st Capital Partners and 1st Capital Insurance Group. Mr. Hickerson is Chairman and CEO of the aforementioned corporations as well as Alliance Mortgage Processing, a contract-processing firm for brokerage firms, lending institutions and banks.


Ronald Scheman died on April 1, 2013, in Washington, DC.  and is greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

For more than four decades, Mr. L. Ronald Scheman worked in the public and private sectors on issues relating to international economic development and cooperation.  He was a specialist in international trade, development, and finance to improving relations among the countries of the Americas, and to bettering the economic conditions of the people.  

Mr. Scheman was the United States Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank, a Presidential appointment confirmed by the United States Senate. He chaired the International Finance Practice of the law firm, Greenberg Traurig and was Senior Advisor to Kissinger McLarty Associates, where he served as Chairman of iMallsGlobal. Inc. He was experienced in international law and negotiations, international finance and development issues and authored 4 books on U.S. Latin America relations.
